Scott Ficek, a Minnesota Real Estate broker, has been buying and managing investment property since 2001. He has purchased and sold multi and single family homes for both rentals and flips. After leaving corporate life in 2004 to pursue real estate full-time, Scott has helped 100s of clients purchase investment properties. Scott is a licensed real estate Broker for Rental Management Guys and Homefield Realty, our retail real estate company. He also runs a successful blog at investmentpropertyanswers.com

Prior to real estate, Scott was the Director of Information Technology for Caribou Coffee and Mesaba Airlines in the Twin Cities. He graduated with a Finance degree from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and lives in Independence with his wife, Amanda, and their 3 kids.

Jesse has been a real estate professional and investor since 2008, having bought, sold, rehabbed, rented and managed hundreds of projects and properties in the Twin Cities. The one constant that seems to be present is that while every deal is unique, creative thinking, hard work, and a win-win approach can make each transaction an opportunity.

Jesse owns a rental portfolio, a property management business, & a rehab business with his rental property partners and real estate agent, Scott Ficek, that they worked with for years acquiring their rental portfolio. He continues to add rentals, property management business and buy & sell real estate. He is a licensed Realtor in the State of Minnesota and also helps friends and family whenever called upon!

Prior to getting fully immersed in real estate Jesse managed & owned a local restaurant franchise with over 20 metro locations. Planning, goal setting, and vision were all critical, but he learned that to truly succeed in this environment you need to work with smart, passionate people.

Jesse lives in Golden Valley with his wife, Sara, and their four kids. He enjoys reading, golfing and coaching his kids in youth athletics. He is also an avid sports fan, specifically baseball.

Willie is a licensed real estate salesperson in the state of Minnesota. Willie has been the primary leasing agent for Rental Management Guys since he joined The Guys in the fall of 2017. He also works with his uncle, Tom Wolfe, to purchase and rehab investment properties.

Prior to his real estate career, he was an All Big Ten, Academic All- Big Ten, and All- American baseball player at the University of Illinois, where he graduated with a degree in sport management. He then went on to play minor league baseball for 6 years as a part of the Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners, and St. Paul Saints organizations before retiring in 2017.

The son of two educators, he is the oldest of six children, enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing bad golf, and watching any sport.

Nick Hillyard was born and raised in the United Kingdom moving to the United States in 1992. Prior to moving to the US, he was a successful musician, performing in major concert halls and venues across the UK, Europe, US and Caribbean. In 1991 an opportunity presented itself that resulted in him moving permanently to Minnesota.

In 2012, Nick decided it was time for a major career change and become a full time professional realtor.  Nick joined REMAX Advantage plus. He had a highly successful career at REMAX and was inducted into the REMAX Hall of Fame in 2021.  Nick is a member of the BBB with an A+ rating and is recognized as a ‘Top Agent’ by Twin Cities Business and a ‘Super-Agent by MPLS/St Paul Magazine and Twin Cities Business.

Nick is a consummate professional and loves all aspects of Real Estate. His experience in Sales & Marketing and Project Management offer Clients a unique skill set that aligns perfectly with the Real Estate business.

Tommy is a real estate salesperson in the state of Minnesota licensed to Homefield Realty. He is also the Leasing Coordinator at Rental Management Guys, working closely with his older Brother, Willie.

Prior to his career in real estate, he graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in education and earned All-Conference awards on the baseball team. After graduation he was a High School Physical Education and Health teacher for 5 years. He also coached high school wrestling and baseball during his years as an educator.

Tommy lives in Minneapolis with his wife Madelyn and their three boys. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, coaching youth sports, and playing golf.

A Minnesota native, Maggie Koehnen has a wealth of real estate and business experience stretching over the last 30 years. Her background includes franchise and small business ownership, but most importantly, knowledge gained as a result of building, buying, and selling her own residential properties. Her passion for real estate and a desire to help people with their real estate needs have been the motivating factors that led her back into the business in 2015.

Maggie commits 100% of her energy to working with her clients and making sure their goals are achieved. She has the drive, determination, and knowledge to provide excellent service and to make the process exciting and fun.
